Costs
Treatment costs
We want you to be fully informed about the cost of treatment at Novarum. Read the following information carefully in order to avoid surprises later.
Insurance
In principle, the cost of the treatment we provide is reimbursed by health insurers. However, the amount that is actually reimbursed will depend on your specific insurance package and the size of your own ‘deductible excess’ (personal liability). If you have any questions about this, we advise you to get in touch with your health insurance provider.
Deductible excess (personal liability)
The health care insurance of adults (18 or over) includes a mandatory deductible excess. This excess is currently €385, which means that you always have to pay the first €385 of health care costs yourself in any given year. You may have agreed an even higher excess with your health insurance provider, or chosen an insurance package which does not reimburse the costs of certain care providers, or reimburses them only in part.
Consult your health insurance provider for details.
Keep your appointments!
If you cancel an appointment less than 24 hours in advance, or if you fail to keep an appointment, then we are unfortunately obliged to charge you cancellation costs, which have been set at €40. You will be sent an invoice. Health insurance providers do not reimburse these costs.
Questions about costs
The way health care is funded is rather complicated. If you have a query about an invoice sent to you through your health insurance provider, please call our Billing Complaints Service (Servicedesk Facturatieklachten). A complaint about an invoice can also be submitted via klachtenfacturatie@arkin.nl.
Any queries about reimbursement or your deductible excess should be put to your health care insurance provider. If you have a problem with your health insurance provider, for instance concerning reimbursement, help is also available through the Dutch Foundation for Health Insurances Complaints and Disputes (Stichting Klachten en Geschillen Zorgverzekeringen, SKGZ).
Complaints about cutbacks
If you have a complaint about cutbacks, the problems they are causing you, or you have other questions about primary or secondary mental health care, then send an email to meldjezorg@platformggz.nl or call (anonymously) 0900-0401208 (€0.20 per call). The Meld je Zorg (‘Report your Care’) office is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 4pm.
